King James Bible. Not one word of narration, not one word from
anybody else. Genesis, Exodus, Leviticus, Numbers, Deuteronomy, Joshua, Judges, 1 Samuel, 2 Samuel, 1 Kings, 2 Kings, 1 Chronicles, 2 Chronicles, Job, Psalms, Jonah and Haggai are done. Every passage here was read and cut by hand rather than guessed at, and
the rest of the Bible is being added a book at a time.
Nothing matches that.
Where this comes from. The red-letter tradition already marks which words are Jesus's.
Nothing comparable marks God's. Which passages are his comes from the
Clear Bible / Faith Comes By Hearing speaker data — a scholarly dataset that identifies
every quotation in the Bible and who speaks it — used under CC BY 4.0. Every cut is
then made in King James words, and the build refuses to run unless each one is word-for-word
scripture.
Judgement on top of it. A handful of passages the data attributes to God do not survive reading, and are left out: Jeremiah 51:34-35 (the text says Zion and Jerusalem speak), Proverbs 9 (Wisdom personified), Isaiah 41:7 (the carpenter and the goldsmith), Micah 2:11 (a hypothetical false prophet). The angel of the LORD is left out throughout, even where the angel speaks as God in the first person, because the text names the angel.
“Saith the LORD” appears inside the prophetic oracles as a tag rather than as narration, and is kept where it falls inside a speech — it is part of the oracle, not the narrator interrupting.
